Privacy Policy

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google through our authentication provider, Clerk.

Content you provide. The photos you upload for your characters, the details you enter about them (such as names, gender, occupation, height, age and personality), the genre you choose, the prompts, choices and custom responses you write, and your messages in character chat.

Generated content. The posters, manga panels, story text, choices and story memory that the service creates for you.

Purchases and coins. The coin packs you buy, your coin balance and coin history. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number.

Technical information. Basic logs and device information (such as IP address, browser type and the pages you request) and the cookies needed to keep you signed in.

• To create your account, keep you signed in and show you your stories.
• To generate your posters, panels, story scenes and character chat replies, and to keep your story memory consistent.
• To process coin purchases, maintain your coin balance and refund coins when a generation fails.
• To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
• To respond to your requests and to comply with legal obligations.

To generate your story and artwork, the photos, character details, prompts and messages you provide are sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, through its API. They are used to produce your content. We do not use your photos to identify who a person is.

AI providers process this data under their own API terms and policies. Please only upload photos you are comfortable having processed this way.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run the service:

• Clerk — sign-in and account security
• Google — sign in with Google
• OpenAI — story, chat and image generation
• Stripe — payment processing
• Vercel — hosting and file storage for uploaded and generated images
• Turso — database hosting

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.

We keep your account, uploaded photos and generated stories for as long as your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your photos, stories and chat history, except where we must keep certain records (such as purchase records) to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations.

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to delete your account, by emailing support@povmanga.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to object to or restrict certain processing. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Only upload photos of yourself or of people who have given you permission, and never upload photos of anyone under 18. If you believe a photo of you was uploaded without your permission, contact support@povmanga.com and we will review and remove it where appropriate.

POV is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the service, contact us and we will delete their information.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, private file storage served only to signed-in owners, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the service.
